Half Beach Half Downtown Charleston Engagement Session

Alexis and Luke’s Charleston engagement session was one for the books! I loved working with this couple and loved the idea of a half beach and half downtown session. They had the best time and best attitude even in the summer heat of Charleston. It was a very hot day! Thankfully, they trusted me to capture their vision so much that they had fun in the moment and the pictures definitely show this. The mix of film and digital photos are a personal favorite. We started out the session walking around the beach and we captured some dreamy photos on the rocks and on the sand. Alexis was absolutely STUNNING in her silk dress. We had a moment where I let them take cute little photos of each other on the film camera and they turned out just so stinking cute!

After an outfit change, we headed to downtown Charleston for a different vibe and I had them strut up and down the streets. I am totally crushing on the classic aesthetic we captured here, it was super romantic. Especially the shots we took in front of the old movie theater! I want each session to feel like a fun date night and I’m just there photographing it all A.K.A the third wheel. My goal is to give you moments in time held still forever, so you can always look back at them remembering all the love you felt in such a special time in your life.
