Modern Chic Wedding in Downtown North Carolina

Kim and John’s entire modern chic wedding was a VIBE. I absolutely loved working with this couple!! Truly! They were so appreciative of me and trusted me to capture their gorgeous wedding so much that they kept taking a moment during their special day to tell me how much they appreciated me. Also, how they loved my easy going personality and it really helped them feel taken care of during the busy day. It was a photographer’s dream!

I am racking my brain to think of what didn’t stand out in this wedding! The details of this day were SO GOOD. It was filled with many memorable moments, we captured the perfect mix of chic and fun photos. Some of my favorites included an espresso martini tower for a picture moment and they shared it with guests. Pizza was delivered on the dance floor, who doesn’t love that!? Parasols were used for their photos and omg what a vibe that is. They played flip cup as part of their introductions to the reception. The bride changed her outfit for the night and the bride and groom wore matching new balances. I mean come on. Plus, they had a British taxi as their getaway car. It was a dream day for sure!

The Elia Wilmington is a stunning venue that has almost 7,000 square feet of usable space. The crew seamlessly flips the main room after the ceremony to provide a cool reception area. While the flip is happening the guests can relax and have a beverage in the cocktail bar area. This location downtown has so many options for photo opportunities, plus the bars are just around the corner for the after party! Kim and John made it such a memorable day for everyone. I am so excited for their forever together!
