A Candid and Nostalgic Wedding in Charleston

Hannah and Sam’s candid and nostalgic wedding was the kind that makes you want to jump in the pictures and join as a guest. It was SO amazing working with them. By the end of the day, they felt like family and the feeling was definitely mutual. They wanted their day to unfold naturally and to feel nostalgic in its own way because they wanted to experience every moment without being pressured about pictures. By doing this they didn’t realize they created a truly gorgeous gallery of pure moments and a timeless wedding day. It may have rained on their day but they didn’t mind one bit because they were so happy just to marry each other and Surround themselves with friends and family.

I loved how they had an intimate ceremony of immediate family and friends and were greeted by the rest of their guests at the beginning of cocktail hour. I truly adored this idea because they were able to enjoy cocktail hour with all their guests and they already had their couple portraits done so they could just focus on their experience the rest of the night. 

Their venue, The Post House Inn, was INCREDIBLE and just so different in the BEST way. It truly felt like home. They are a very successful restaurant in the Charleston area and also an esteemed, highly recognized boutique hotel, located in the lowcountry. Their food is to die for, and made, very obviously, with love and I got to see firsthand how they treat their wedding clients and it was so sweet, all the little touches they did for their day to make them feel special and their guests to feel at home! Needless to say, the entire night is etched into my brain forever! Congrats H+S!
