Garden Wedding in Wilmington, NC

I am still not over this timeless garden wedding in North Carolina. I absolutely loved working with Karlyn and Zach! These two are SO in love with each other and they wanted their photos to feel this way. They wanted their day to feel super intimate and romantic and for their images to feel nostalgic and timeless. I approached this by capturing candid photos throughout their day, and when prompted guiding them in the right direction for more authentic, candid photo opportunities, and of course a touch of editorial shots. Documentary style wedding photos are my favorite way to capture a beautiful day like this one. After all, when you look back on these for years to come, you want to feel that love and those moments just like you felt that day.

Station No. 2 is a historic firehouse turned unique wedding venue. I loved how they had an intimate garden ceremony in the courtyard with just their closest family members and then during their cocktail hour they welcomed more guests, from extended family to their closest friends. I loved capturing all the smiles and laughter from all the guests as well! At the end of the night, they really sped things up when the DJ started playing. Karlyn changed in to a pair of denim jeans and cute top which I freaking loved! All of the party, blurry photos are some of my favorites ever taken! To summarize, what a vibe! Their wedding was undoubtedly timeless and romantic, and they got to spend their day together with their friends and family. They also got to have their private first look which they wanted more than anything!
